The food is very excellent, especially the Alfredo sauce. It was very cozy and not too busy, but the service is mediocre from staff. Still recommend checking it out.

We went back twice it was so good. Loved how they have 2 menu’s. One is an all day breakfast and the other their main menu. Staff were FANTASTIC I loved them all. Very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. I had the french onion soup. The best I’ve ever had. It’s just located across from the Napoleon house. If the time difference hasn’t caught up with you yet and you’re still in breakfast mode at lunchtime you can get one here. The omelette, eggs benedict, po po shrimp and key lime pie was all delicious. I highly recommend a visit.

INCREDIBLE, HISTORIC building. Built in 1788! Very welcoming. Quick service. Most of the servers move lightning fast. They truly hustle! Food is hot and freshly made with fresh ingredients. MS. SANDRA was our server on Christmas Day and she was terrific! I ordered the French onion soup, blackened fish with spinach + grits. My husband got the gumbo, and étouffée. Everything was delicious. I decided to try the bread pudding (with the caramel sauce on the side). That was very disappointing. The bread pudding was barely warm and the side of caramel sauce was in a tiny condiment cup that had unmelted butter on top of it. Ick. I took one bite of the bread pudding and was very disappointed so I didn’t eat it. Ms. Sandra immediately noticed that I did not eat it and was kind enough to take it off our bill. The manager, Nairobi, came by our table to ask us if everything was okay and we told him it was great. UPDATE: 12/26/25 We went back for lunch. I ordered the muffaletta sandwich and it comes with fries. It’s definitely enough food for 2 people. If you want a light lunch, it’s enough food for 4 people! Fries were very hot and super crispy! My husband had the shrimp Poboy which also comes with fries. Both meals were delicious. Service was great, again. They were working hard and fast.

Great location and great food. The gumbo was delicious. Fried seafood platters were crispy and tasty. There's a good reason there was a little be to get a table.

As soon as you step inside, you can tell you’re in for something special. The food was absolutely fantastic! We tried the French onion soup, Cajun shrimp pasta, and fried fish platter, and each dish was a delight. The service was top-notch, and the server even suggested we get a dessert, and we got the caramel bread pudding. This place is definitely worth a visit!

Pierre Maspero’s – A True New Orleans Treasure Since 1788 Dining at Pierre Maspero’s is like stepping back in time while savoring the authentic flavors that make New Orleans cuisine legendary. As one of the city’s oldest restaurants, this historic gem offers not only incredible food but also an atmosphere rich with charm and Southern hospitality. Our meal reflected the very essence of traditional New Orleans gourmet. The Blackened Redfish, made with fresh Louisiana red drum and seasoned to perfection with Cajun spices, was simply outstanding. Served with French fries, flavorful jambalaya, and topped with jumbo lump crabmeat, it was a dish that beautifully balanced spice, texture, and local flair. The Blackened Chicken Alfredo Pasta was equally satisfying—tender chicken over perfectly cooked fettuccine tossed in a creamy, decadent Alfredo sauce that added a comforting richness to the meal. The Crescent City Sampler offered the best of New Orleans classics in one plate, featuring Cajun jambalaya, red beans and rice, and chicken & andouille gumbo—each bite full of authenticity and bold Creole flavor. The staff truly elevated the experience. They were courteous, attentive, and delightfully funny, adding a personal touch that made our evening even more enjoyable. The lively atmosphere—with a perfect mix of history, laughter, and Louisiana charm—made it easy to see why Pierre Maspero’s continues to be a favorite among locals and visitors alike. If you’re visiting New Orleans, Pierre Maspero’s is an absolute must. It’s more than just a meal—it’s an experience steeped in history, heart, and unforgettable flavor.

Best breakfast & friendliest service in the French Quarter. We love the wait staff--they are always smiling & accommodating. Ms. Mary has taken the time to get to know us over the years. Andouille sausage & egg breakfast keeps us coming back.

Our server Shelly was fantastic, fast friendly and efficient. Gave excellent suggestions and knew the menu well. The food was so good and we loved our cocktails. We ordered the Black Pearl and a Mint Julep. For starters we had onion soup, and for mains we ordered Blackened Chicken Alfredo and Blackened Redfish with a side of Jumbalaya and sautéed spinach and veggies. Its a small place but cozy, the atmosphere was so festive. A spontaneous wedding parade happened outside before we were seated. 100% will visit again next trip.
